What is Field of Screams? 
Field of Screams and Clown Town are outdoor haunted attractions.  You will walk through buildings and a large sorghum field in groups of 6-8 people.  You will encounter live actors and many special effects.

How scary is it? 
The Field is intended to scare you.  Some as young as 7 do not scare easily yet many 16 year olds are unable to make it through.

Can I get out if I am too scared?  
We do not encourage leaving early, however, if you are absolutely unable to go on, our actors are trained to handle the situation.

Can I bring my kids? 
We do not recommend this event for young children.  If your children are younger than 7, please reconsider coming.

Will the actors touch me? 
No actor will intentionally touch you.  You will be escorted out by our law enforcement if you intentionally touch them.

How long does it take? 
Depending on the night you come and how many events you attend, you may spend and hour or you may spend 4 hours.  Plan on making an evening of it and lines are unavoidable on Friday and Saturday nights.  See the attractions page for further information on the specific walk.

How can I avoid long lines? 
We open our gates at 7 but the Field opens at dark.  Usually by the time the Field opens on weekend nights we have a long line and you may have already waited an hour if you arrived first thing.  This is still the best option for weekend nights.  Consider attending weekdays.  Everything is exactly the same in the field whether you come on a weekend or weekday, but you can shorten your wait tremendously.

What Forms of Payment do you accept? 
You can pay with Cash, Visa, Master Card, or Discover at the ticket counter.

Do we wait indoors or out? 
All cue lines are located outdoors.

Are restrooms available? 
Portable toilets are located in several areas throughout the farm.

Can I get a refund if I get too scared? 
You are entering a haunted attraction intended to scare you.  If we do our job and you are unable to complete the path, you will not be issued a refund.

Can I get a refund if I get tired of waiting? 
While we understand getting tired and frustrated with waiting lines is inevitable, we do not issue refunds.  We will gladly re-issue you tickets for another night should you choose to leave.

Can I drop off my teenager? 
It is safe to drop off your teenager at the front entrance.  If you feel that your child can follow the rules, we have created a very organized and safe environment.  Law enforcement will be stationed throughout the farm to help keep things orderly and secure.  We would recommend someone in each group have a cell phone to update you on when they need picked up.

Are you open if it rains? 
We will be open during light rain.  We will close during heavy rain or lightning – temporarily or for the night.  Feel free to check our voicemail if you are not sure.  316-303-2037

Is food available? 
We do have concession stands that sell light snacks.  You may also purchase sandwiches and drinks at the line – provided by Mr. Goodcents.

How can I become an actor?
We have most positions filled at this time.  You may e-mail us with a brief introduction of yourself and we will contact you if we might have a position.  screams@prairiepines.com
